Delete your account and data

Method 1: Delete it yourself on the web (takes effect immediately)

Get the 8-digit web login code in the WeChat Mini Program under "Mine → Settings → Web login code", then log in on this page to delete the account right away. The current device is signed out once it is deleted.

Method 2: Request deletion by email (no login, no app install needed)

If you have already uninstalled the app, or you cannot log in (for example the login code has expired), just send us an email. You do not need to reinstall the app. Please include "delete account" plus your nickname or user ID.

To confirm the request comes from you, we may verify it through the email address or WeChat account you registered with.

Method 3: Delete it inside the app

1. iOS: open the Tangdou Go app → tab "Settings" → scroll to the bottom of the page → tap "Delete account" → confirm after reading the notice.
2. Deletion takes effect immediately and the current device is signed out.

The in-app entry for the Android app is still being built. Until then, please use the web or email method above; the handling time is the same.

Data deleted when your account is deleted

• Profile: nickname, avatar, gender, region, language, bio, rank and rating data.
• Login identity: WeChat openid / unionid, Apple sign-in identifier, phone number, email address, web login code.
• Your content and relationships: saved games, following and follower relationships, in-app notifications, personal game preferences.
• Community and chat data: the nickname and avatar on your posts and comments are anonymized to "Deleted user", your likes are removed, and identifying details in in-game chat messages are cleared.

Data kept after deletion, and for how long

• Past games, game records (SGF), tournament results and standings: kept long term. These records are created by both players, so deleting them would break the opponent's game records and event history. In them your name shows as "Deleted user", and your avatar, region and contact details are removed.
• Server logs (visit time, IP address and similar technical data): rolled over daily and kept for at most 10 days for security and troubleshooting, then deleted automatically.
• If laws or regulations require us to keep certain information, we keep it only for the required scope and period, and only for compliance purposes.

How long it takes

• Web self-service deletion: effective immediately after you submit it; the current device is signed out at the same time.
• Email requests: we verify and complete the request within 15 business days, and reply to your email once it is done.
